2. tidy my house (as always),
3. make a donation to people in need,
4. having a Christmas dinner with family, and
last but most important is...
5. to be happy and grateful with what I have.

Thank You Lord for December. :)

Chloe was hospitalised..

and so I spent my weekend in the hospital with her. She was so demanding and threw her best tantrum of the year. I was so exhausted that the situation made me realised that my everyday routine is much easier compared to the one day I spent with her in hospital.
Yes, she is my joy and my precious daughter. I love her and no matter how hard my day is.. I still love her so very much.
She was sick and she needs me more than anything.
She hugged me and clinged to me to sleep.
I guess when I post 'Lord help me' the day before.. God really helped me
to realise that all is well and I just need another revelation from Him to understand that He has done all the best for me.
So thank you Lord. for giving me the revelation.
My days are easy because He has protected us from all sicknesses and keeping us all healthy all year long.
I am thankful because of that.
Thank You Lord.
And as I post this, my Chloe has been better and back to her normal energetic girl that I know of.

Happy day everyone!

My thoughts

Last night Chloe was sleepless. Tired with her blocked nose.. and neverending cough.
I also cannot sleep well. I hope she is getting well soon... but it seems the cough getting from bad to worse.
This afternoon, Xinlong bring her to see doctor one more time. and to get her nebulised and x-rayed.

I hate it. I hate this moment when I am working (in office) and cant help but thinking about how it will be better if I have the time to clean my house more often, clean our bedroom more, tidy it all, and all that sort of things which might help in keeping my Chloe healthy.

Truth is, the more I do, the more it get messed. Just like that. It only last 10minutes.. or less than that.
I am exhausted. Sometimes I feel I am alone in this journey of parenting... or mothering. Everyone seems getting it right.

Lord help me please.

In the midst of my hectic daily life..

I wish I have more time for myself...
to sleep
to cuddle my daughter
to play with her
read with her
sing with her
and by end of the day.. I wish I had more time to be with her.
but this is how it goes in my real life.

7.30am to 7.30pm go to work.
8pm dinner
8.30 - 9.30pm play with my daughter, I take a bath
10pm laundry & cleaning time (my daughter will be on the bed with her ipad)
11.30 pm Chloe sleeps, I am exhausted
12 midnite, we all sleep..
3am I wake up, to have a 'me time' which is sewing
5.30am tired but contented. and fall asleep once more..
till morning (7am) comes and I'm ready to start another day.

Yes, it is hectic ..
but I am a working mom. and mothering never ends when my day jobs end.
For a full time mom, I envy you for having so much time for you and your kids.
Yes I know it is tiring but it is understandably worth more than anything in the world.. at least by my opinion.
I hope I can be JUST a full time mother.
But for now... full time working mother is what I do.

Bedroom gallery wall

I like to decorate my house. So whenever I got the chance (or time) I will try to update here and there. Mostly is on the walls because I want my house to feel like home and not hotel. So here it is.

Before :
 and the After :
So what do you think?

This is the view from our bed so at the end of each day before sleep we have a good reminder of what is the most important in our life. It is our family. :)

Melaka Trip 2013.06.29

So we got the chance to go for a short getaway trip to Melaka last week. And because hubby is officially unemployed (by choice) so he got plenty of time to plan where we're heading to in Melaka. We started with packing up some clothes and all necessary stuff the day before. I don't have the picture of that stuff but we have this. Yeah. that one you surely have to bring along. lol

So on Saturday morning 7am, we packed up and drove. Before crossing the custom we made a quick drive thru McDonalds and grabbed some meals. 3 hours later, we reached our hotel and start wandering around to have a late breakfast. Our first stop is this famous noodles. Not sure why it is so famous (alot of recommendations from other blogger, and they said that this place is good) and I think it is a bit overrated. though its quite a good meal for that kind of price :)

Next, is the roadside ice chendol. We were quite early as in no queue yet when we arrived but 15 minutes later, there were quite a number of people queueing for this ice chendol. It only open for 2 hours in a day. Quite good business I think hehe.

We managed to take a picture with a rambutan tree beside the stall.
Typical Singaporean (always take picture with something they don't see back at home lol)

After ice chendol, we move on to another dessert, coconut shake.

It is also by the roadside.
And of course, must take pictures with a bunch of

By now, we had full stomach and quite tired. so we check-in to our hotel. The Baba House. Have a few hour rest before we continued our sight seeing. We took some pictures of the details of the hotel.

traditional baba and nyonya house

Dinner we went to this place called Capitol Satay.

It is a unique kind of feast where we have all kind of meats sticked up (it is called satay) and dipped in chillied peanut sauce (kind of thing). Well, I'm not good at describing foods but here some photos (from google) to desribe it better.
It is quite nice meal but for an hour long queue that we took before enjoying the food, I will say I won't come again next time. Just not worth the effort.
Honestly, I dont even remember what we ate that day at this place (thank God for photos and google). Haha

Move on, to Jongker Street we go. Find so many interesting arts and crafts, and alot of nice and good food also.

This one is paper crafts. This one beats all the papercrafts I've seen on other people's blogs. Hehe.

Keychains and some stuffs made of aluminium or silver wires
Fridge magnets. Melaka is well-known for its clogs (sandal made from wood). I know it as 'bakiak' (Indonesian language) :)

then.. have some drinks at nearby cafe.
Then we went back to our hotel to rest.

Breakfast, the next day.

Sight seeing.

This one is Casa del Rio Hotel.

This was actually the hotel that we plan to book but its full for that particular weekend.. so maybe next time round then. :)
By 11am we drove and make a last stop at this Baba Charlie, a place where they sell nyonya cake. It is actually a house and not a shop.
And they were selling the kueh in their garage and displayed them in their 'living room' for us to choose and buy.

Sounds awkward but its true. And I tell you, you have to try their ondeh ondeh. Its a green ballish kind of kueh with gula melaka inside and covered with grated coconut. It is so delicious! Trust me. Here is their blog.

After that we went for another 4 hour drive home to Singapore.
Tired but happy. :)
Thank You God for the good trip to Melaka.

Lunch Tote bag

The other day, when I went out for lunch and on the way back to office, I saw this good offer. Which is a magazine that cost $5dollar but it got so many freebies inside like a bottled water, a small sample bottle of laundry detergent and a lunch tote bag.
This is the lunch tote bag I have..

Well, today while browsing online  I saw something similar to that tote bag and it cost US$24.99.

It always makes me feel good knowing that I scored on free good stuff! Haha

Happy Day everyone!

DIY - Diaper Cake

My husband's cousin is having a new addition to his family... a baby boy. And we were invited to their baby's 1st month celebration. I am so happy to hear the news and want to make something for him instead of buying it straight from the shelf. I decided to make a diaper cake. It is my first attempt
so excuse me for any lack of experience here. haha
But I give 100% of my effort to make it look 'gorgeous' :)
So here it is..
1st attempt

I don't really like the big candy on top of the cake. so I switch it to something more subtle...

Dog! haha. I just google it to get the image of the dog that I wanted and...

Supplies needed :
2 packs of diapers (size : S) $32
3 sets of socks (size : S) $10
2 sets of bibs, mittens and booties - $10
2 small towels $5
3 washcloths  $5
baby blue and textured ribbons for decorations - free
felt - red and light brown and dark brown color - $5

Total : $62
Yay! I score under $100 for this. For comparison, here what it cost if you buy at this onlineshop

Now I can't wait to go and meet  their baby.
Happy day everyone! :)
